Founded in 1852, Ghirardelli Chocolate Company is the oldest continuous chocolate manufacturer in America. When the company exceeded the capacity of its corporate offices and factory they called on AAi to design the interior of their new 14,000-square-foot addition. The project involved the design of Ghirardelli’s new executive offices, conference rooms, and cafeteria, as well as their existing lobby. A central element in the design plan was the creation of a gallery corridor to exhibit Ghirardelli’s impressive collection of historical memorabilia. Using rich chocolate colors accented by the company’s trademark blue, AAi created a warm, traditional interior that’s pure Ghirardelli.
