Rose Orchard Technology Park | San Jose, CA
As the focal point of the five building office park's main entry axis, 150 Rose Orchard received a major entry enhancement as part of an extensive renovation program for marketing purposes. The strong, cohesive architecture of the existing office complex demanded a particularly sensitive treatment when the decision was made to update the anchor building. The dated, triangular skylight at the main entry was removed and in its place, aluminum composite panels, herculite glazing and deep aluminum horizontal mullions were used to make a clean, bold statement while still respecting the building's natural lines. The entry lobby interior received new glass and stainless steel stair railings and high bay ceilings to allow the entire lobby to be bathed in the natural light entering the new, full height, glass façade. Confirmation of the marketing strategy was the fact that the building leased to digital technology leader, ARM shortly after the renovation was complete.
